Dennis P Drainville
Born in Joliette Quebec in 1954, Dennis Paul Drainville has led a double life. There is the very public life of university, employment and community leadership. The public life ended in 2016 when Dennis retired as the 12th Lord Bishop of Quebec. He Had graduated with distinction from Trinity College at the University of Toronto. He then went-on to be an ordained priest working in rural parishes and running an urban-core ministry to the poor, was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario in 1990 taught for 12 years at a Cegep College in Gaspe Quebec, and was elected bishop in 2007, The role of bishop led him into international ecumenical work as Co-Chair of the Anglican-Roman Catholic Dialogue.
The other part of his double life focused on social action, family life and working through the left-over effects of a dysfunctional and damaging childhood.
